My wife and I have called Anderson Mill home for 24 years, drawn here by its beautiful trees, top-notch schools, community pools, expansive parks, and walking trails. We're proud parents of two boys—our 18-year-old is a senior at Westwood High School, and our 20-year-old attends the University of Texas. Both grew up in our local RRISD schools, attending Purple Sage Elementary and Grisham Middle School, where my wife has served on the PTA board for many years.
As our family has grown, we've cherished the neighborhood's amenities, spending countless hours at the pools and participating in community events. We were active with the Barracudas Swim Team when our kids were younger, and I continue to advocate for the team—even when previous boards fell short. A year and a half ago, we welcomed my in-laws to Anderson Mill, and they've loved the AMLD senior center and its activities, making our community a true multi-generational haven.

Since 2003, I've attended MUD/Limited District meetings to stay involved in our neighborhood's future. Today, I serve as Vice President of the Anderson Mill Limited District (Place 4), chair the Architectural Control Committee (since 2009), and lead the Parks & Landscaping Committee. Through these roles, I've driven recent upgrades like improved maintenance, updated landscaping, and the replacement of the aging El Salido trail bridge—now open for everyone to enjoy. I was also Vice President of the Anderson Mill Neighbor Association from 2007 to 2009.
I'm a Texas State University graduate with a B.S. in Urban and Regional Planning, and I work as a Transportation Planner at DCCM in Austin, applying my expertise to support smart, sustainable growth in our community.
I'm committed to:
- Maintaining and enhancing Anderson Mill's parks, trails, swimming pools, and recreational amenities for all residents.
- Creating opportunities for everyone to stay active, with year-round access to our pools, and ensuring our trails are maintained.
- Keeping our property tax rate low—I've consistently voted against unnecessary increases, including the recent one that voters rejected.
- Ensuring full transparency and easy public access to district operations and budgeting
- Preserving property values and the high quality of life that makes Anderson Mill such a special place to live

I’ve lived in Anderson Mill just over two years now, and in that time this neighborhood has become home for my family—my wife, our three‑year‑old daughter, and a new baby girl arriving soon. I work as a civil engineer and project manager, so I spend my days dealing with infrastructure, budgets, long‑term planning, and coordinating with community stakeholders. That perspective is what I bring to the board: focus on responsible spending, take care of the facilities we already have, and follow through on the improvements we commit to.
What I’ve Been Focused On:
• Reducing expenses and increasing efficiencies to get more value out of every dollar.
• Investing strategically in upgrades that genuinely improve our parks, pools, and facilities.
• Maintaining what we already have so everything stays safe, clean, and usable.
• Keeping decision‑making transparent and practical for residents.

Recent Improvements in the District
During my time on the board, we’ve been able to move several meaningful capital projects forward, with more to come. Some notable projects include:
• Ongoing mini‑renovations at Anderson Mill Pool and the Senior Center
• Parking lot resurfacing at several district facilities
• Drainage, walkway, and ADA improvements at the Community Center to ensure it remains eligible as a voting location
• The new El Salido trail bridge, which has quickly become a favorite for walkers and families
These projects aren’t flashy, but they’re the kinds of necessary improvements that keep the district running smoothly and keep our residents safe and happy.
What I Want Residents to Know
I’m not trying to reinvent Anderson Mill. I’m focused on steady, responsible improvements—fixing what needs fixing, spending wisely, making sure the work lasts, and most importantly, ensuring Anderson Mill remains a Limited District.
I’d appreciate the chance to keep serving and helping Anderson Mill stay a place we’re proud to call home.
