Emergency Preparation Supplies Sales Tax Holiday - April 25-27, 2026

Texas’ Emergency Preparation Supplies Sales Tax Holiday is a great opportunity to get ready for severe weather while saving money. From Saturday until Monday, you can purchase essential items tax-free, including:

  • Batteries, flashlights, and first aid kits
  • Portable generators (up to $3,000)
  • Emergency ladders and hurricane shutters (up to $300)
  • Coolers and ice chests (up to $75)

Keep in mind that price limits apply, and items like vehicles, camping gear, and non-emergency supplies are not eligible.

With storm season always a possibility in Central Texas, this is a smart time to check your emergency kit or build one from scratch. A little preparation now can make a big difference later—for you, your family, and our community.

Let’s stay safe and ready, Anderson Mill!
