Nature, Learning & Fun at the GNOME Society Nature Festival!
Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 24, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at Harper Park! The GNOME Society Nature Festival brings together four hours of gardening experts, hands-on activities, special guests, and family fun for FREE!
Kids can explore the park with our Nature Scavenger Hunt and win prizes or make wildflower seed balls to take home and plant for pollinators and birds.
At the Harper Park Pavilion, enjoy four 50-minute sessions on Gardening for Pollinators, Roll Out the Welcome Mat for Backyard Birds, Composting Made Easy, and Recycling Basics, with door prizes and giveaways at every session.
Meet local experts and organizations, including the Balcones Canyonlands Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists, who are planning on installing their 8th pollinator garden at the Senior Center in Anderson Mill (late 2026 through Spring 2027).
At the Travis County Master Gardeners Plant Clinic, experts will share research-based advice on plants, trees, lawns, pests, and other gardening challenges.
Lindsey Schell, owner of Purple Cactus Gardens, will offer native plant focused garden design and garden coaching. Her goal is to make sustainable gardening practices accessible and rewarding for every gardener at every level of experience.

Free Trees Are Back - Let’s Shade Our Neighborhood Sidewalks!

AM Limited District 2026 Tax Rate
🪙At their September 10th meeting, the Anderson Mill Limited District adopted a 2026 property tax rate of $0.134204 per $100 of taxable value, up from $0.124340 in 2025. The rate funds the District’s maintenance and operations, including parks, pools, community facilities, and other services.
Meet the Newest AMLD Director: Michael Habibi
👏🏽Please join us in welcoming Michael Habibi, the newest member of the Anderson Mill Limited District (AMLD) Board of Directors. Michael was sworn in on September 10, 2026, and is excited to serve and represent the AMLD community.
Michael works in the technology and cybersecurity field. He looks forward to bringing his experience and enthusiasm to the AMLD Board. and serving the community he and his family have called home since 2011.

Williamson County News
Williamson County adopts $712.9M budget, no-new-revenue tax rate
Williamson County commissioners adopted the $712.94 million 2026–27 budget and a no-new-revenue tax rate of $0.421547 per $100 valuation on Sept. 1.
The new rate takes effect Oct. 1. Despite the higher rate, the average homestead is expected to pay about $28 (1.49%) less in county property taxes than last year.
