After the second-longest streak of 100-degree days in Austin history (20 scorchers from August 15th - September 3rd) it looks like we're finally getting a break from the triple digits!

This is the perfect time to feature our newest event - the GNOME Society Nature Festival!

The GNOME Society (also known as the Anderson Mill Neighborhood Association) in conjunction with Roots and Wings Festival Austin are hosting the first GNOME Society Nature Festival on Saturday, October 24th, starting at 10am.

🛻One of the most exciting reasons to attend is to pick up your Native Pollinator Garden Kits! These kits are comprised of 24 plants in 1.5-inch pots that will bloom into essential and beautiful plants for bees, butterflies, and birds. Each kit is only $39, and the first 24 will come with a FREE Mountain Laurel! Learn more about what plants are in the kit and how to order here.

📋While we invite the entire neighborhood to attend the festival and learn, seating space inside the Pavilion may be limited for certain lectures and workshops, like "Composting Made Easy: From Kitchen Scraps to Garden Gold" by zero waste educator Noelle Bugaj. To make sure your seat is saved, please RSVP to the activities you are interested in!

🧭We'll also have plenty of activities ongoing, including a Nature Scavenger hunt with prizes from Gelatoro Gelato Shop!

👑Create your own nature-inspired crown using preserved leaves from a variety of tree species. It's a perfect activity for kids and adults alike to learn more about local trees and how to identify them by their leaves and bark!
